This is the toast level most common to a variety of commercial bourbon, and the best place to start.  To officially be called Bourbon in the USA the wood must never have been used before, but since my batches are being created as a hobby in my own kitchen I may ocassionally take lincence with this, however when I do, I call those batches verisimo bourbon 😉. 

Officially, each pack will make one batch of Bourbon then after being used to create the Bourbon it will make two batches of Scotch. .
